Bearing maintenance includes the following aspects:
.Proper handling and storage: To prevent contaminants including moisture, dust or dirt from entering the bearings, bearings should be handled and stored correctly. Bearings should be placed horizontally in a clean, dry and room temperature environment in their original packaging; they should not be stored in the same warehouse as chemical products, and the relative humidity in the warehouse should not exceed 65%; bearings should not be stored on the floor; they should not be removed prematurely before installation and use packaging, otherwise the bearings may be exposed to corrosion or contaminants.
.Use professional tools for installation and disassembly: In order to ensure uniform force during bearing installation and disassembly, special tools need to be used, such as bearing pullers or induction heaters.
.Proper lubrication: One of the main causes of bearing failure is lubrication.
.Avoid operating temperatures outside the range: The operating temperature of the bearing must be within the designed extreme temperature range. Otherwise, long-term operation will result in reduced load-bearing capacity and early failure of the bearing.
.Avoid corrosion as much as possible: Bearing corrosion is a common form of damage. Exposure of bearings to humid environments may lead to moisture intrusion, causing bearing corrosion and ultimately premature bearing failure.
.Monitoring: During the operation of the equipment, the operating conditions of the bearings should be inspected and monitored regularly. Generally, monitoring is carried out by listening, touching, smelling and other sensory methods at a fixed point on the bearing box. If any abnormal sound, smell, or temperature rise is detected, the machine must be shut down immediately for inspection. Bearing vibration analysis can reliably diagnose bearing faults in the early stages. Vibration analysis requires vibration detection data and a certain amount of knowledge and data accumulation.
.Replace or replenish lubricant regularly: Most bearing damage is caused by incorrect lubrication or insufficient lubrication.
